Assistive Technology

Teachers have always been required to meet the needs of diverse learners, and now more than ever, those students are being served more and more in the regular classroom. Using assistive technology is one strategy for providing differentiation. The Family Center on Technology and Disability http://www.fctd.info/ provides a great background on assistive technology in their fact sheets, which includes Assistive Tech 101, Assistive Tech and the IEP, and Assistive Tech Laws. Monthly newsletters and family guides for parents are also available in English and Spanish.
